John is a retired oil and gas industry executive after working 47 years, mostly for international companies. His most recent position was Corporate Account Manager for Siemens’ Oil & Gas Division managing their global business with KBR (Kellogg Brown & Root). He began his career after graduation from Houghton College joining Dresser Clark marketing group, a manufacturer of compressors, gas turbines, and engines for the oil and gas worldwide market. In Houston, John was a Deacon and Elder at Cypress Bible Church.

He is an avid motorcycle rider. Since moving to the greater Boerne area, he has served as a volunteer for Boerne Blaze Special Olympics. John and his wife of 52 years, Darla, are members of Oak Hill Church and together are proud parents to four children including Rebecca, a highly accomplished Boerne Blaze Special Olympics athlete in multiple sports including swimming and triathlon.
